Hi, I'm completely new to this blogging thing. And to the divorce thing (first time). I'm an American new neither to eastern Europe nor the mindset of people who live here (I now include myself in that category; I'm not finger-pointing).
I've been kid- and wallet-ectomied here. Am I bitter? Yeah, to put it mildly. Do I accept responsibility for what happened? Guilty as charged, m'Luhd. I'd most likely have followed her path, in the same situation, though I'd have been more humane about it.
And now what? I've got a fantastic bright successful young kid. But I'm the odd one out. There's no way I'd be in this country were it possible for me to have weekly access to him elsewhere. I'm not Czech; his mother is. My own lawyers laughed (albeit to themselves) when they saw me knocking on their door as a non-Schengen foreigner being taken to the cleaners.
